The Wisdom Women Once Knew

For thousands of years, women lived in rhythm with cycles.

The cycles of the moon.
The seasons.
The body.
Birth and death.
Rest and creation.
Grief and renewal.

Women gathered together in community, shared wisdom across generations, tended to one another’s children, honored intuition, and understood that healing was never meant to happen in isolation. There was an understanding that life itself moved cyclically — that expansion and contraction were both sacred. That rest was not laziness. That sensitivity was not weakness. That intuition was not irrationality.

But modern culture disconnected us from these ways of being.

We were taught to override our bodies. To suppress emotion. To compete instead of collaborate. To produce endlessly regardless of our physical, emotional, or spiritual state. We were conditioned into a linear, productivity-driven way of living that often rewards numbness over presence and performance over truth.

And women have paid the price for that disconnection with our bodies, our health, our intuition, and our sense of self.

My Own Journey Of Disconnection

I know I did.

I spent much of my early life deeply disconnected from the wisdom inside of me. I was born into a culture that worshipped image, achievement, and material success. I grew up in the 80’s going to shopping malls, obsessed with Guess jeans and Esprit clothing — and if you know, you know. I learned very early how to look outward for identity, validation, and belonging.

I followed the script that culture handed me. Achievement. Perfectionism. Success. Keep going. Keep performing. Keep proving.

But underneath it all, my body was telling another story.

I was riddled with anxiety and angst. I struggled with an eating disorder as a teenager. I never quite felt settled inside myself. No matter how much I achieved or how closely I followed the blueprint, something always felt off.

And now I understand why.

Because I was living almost entirely disconnected from my body, my intuition, my spirit, and my own inner knowing. Like so many women, I had been taught to mistrust myself. To override what I felt. To disconnect from my sensitivity in order to survive and belong.

Finding My Way Back To The Body

That journey is what eventually led me to the work I do now as a women’s therapist and somatic psychotherapist. My work in women’s counseling is rooted in helping highly sensitive women reconnect with themselves — emotionally, spiritually, physically, and intuitively.

Through trauma-informed healing rooted in sacred feminine wisdom, I help women move beyond burnout, perfectionism, people pleasing, anxiety, and chronic self-abandonment so they can begin living from a place of embodiment, authenticity, and inner authority.

Because so many women are exhausted not because they are failing, but because they are trying to survive in systems that ask them to abandon their own rhythms in order to belong.

Women Are Beginning To Remember

But something ancient is stirring again.

Women are beginning to remember that their bodies carry wisdom. That intuition is intelligence. That sensitivity is perception. That rest is sacred. That healing happens in safe community. That there is power in softness, slowness, emotional honesty, and deep embodiment.

The world does not need women who are more disconnected from themselves.

The world needs women who trust themselves again.

Women who are deeply attuned.
Women who can feel truth beneath performance.
Women who are willing to lead from intuition, integrity, collaboration, and care.
Women who remember that power does not have to look like domination.

Because the feminine was never meant to lead by replicating the systems that wounded us.

The feminine leads by restoring connection — to the body, to the earth, to one another, to spirit, and to what is sacred.

For women who are learning to trust themselves again, intuitive coaching can offer a supportive space to reconnect with inner wisdom, deepen self-awareness, and begin making choices from a more grounded and embodied place. Healing Begins With Reconnection

And perhaps this is how healing begins.

Not through becoming harder.
But through remembering what we are.
