Bringing Attention to what our bodies ask of us, somatic regulation skills, and being a biological animal

I am so excited to be joined by fellow somatic practitioner, Megan Thomas, on today’s episode of the Inner Alchemy Podcast. As I continue the conversation surrounding coming back to our being and using our bodies to heal, I was thrilled to happen across someone who speaks my language. Not only does Megan speak my language, but she also shouts it from the proverbial mountaintops with her incredible social media presence, where she educates her audience on practical somatic regulation skills. We discuss bringing both attention and intention to what our bodies ask of us, finding our center, and just letting yourself dance to the dang Barry Manilow. ABOUT THE GUEST

Megan Thomas, LPC, MHSP

Megan Thomas (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Professional Counselor in middle Tennessee. She is a somatic practioner with training in Somatic Experiencing and Somatic Attachment Theory. She believes deeply that mind-body connection, community, and affirmation promote healing. Megan loves sharing nervous system regulation skills in individual therapy sessions, somatic workshops, and via social media. In her free time, you may find her spending time outdoors with her wife, child and hyperactive Yorkie, Rex. A fly on the wall would catch her making mental health TikToks, curled up on her couch watching trashy reality TV, or throwing ingredients together while pretending she’s on “Chopped”.
