There’s a particular ache in the air right now. Maybe you’ve felt it, too —
A heaviness. A fraying at the edges. A collective exhale that still doesn’t seem to reach the bottom of the lungs.

It’s not just the chaos of the world.
It’s the weight of what we carry.
What we’ve internalized.
What we’ve been taught to suppress.

I am feeling this. My friends are feeling this. The women I counsel and coach are feeling this. It is everywhere.

And so — when you cry, feel exhausted, or overwhelmed — please hear this:

Your tears are not weakness.
They’re evidence of your depth — of a heart that dares to care, even when it costs.
Your anguish is not fragility.
It is evidence of your bravery — that you risked showing up fully.
Your fatigue is not failure.
It’s the sign your body and soul have given so much that they now ask to be replenished.
Your sorrow is not a flaw.
It’s the sacred mark of a life lived with courage — one that doesn’t turn away from the full spectrum of human experience.

We live in a world that rewards pushing through and punishes slowing down.
A world where imbalance is normalized — and we call it success.

The Feminine Forgotten

There’s a deep imbalance in our cultural DNA.
One that glorifies giving and pathologizes receiving.
That uplifts logic and dismisses emotion.
That rewards output and shames rest.

And perhaps nowhere is this imbalance more internalized than in the feminine. As someone who focuses on counseling women and does a lot of spiritual counseling to help women reconnect with their authentic self, I see this everywhere.

Women, especially, are taught that their value is in their usefulness.
That to care is their role. That to give is their purpose.
And so they give — again and again — until there’s nothing left.

We call it burnout.
But really, it’s soul-depletion.
A spiritual crisis rooted in one core truth:
You were never meant to only give.

Receiving is Revolutionary

Receiving is not selfish — it is sacred.
It is the essence of the feminine.
It’s how the cycle of energy continues.
Without it, we are pouring from an empty cup, disconnected from our own source.

This is not just about gender. It’s about balance.
Masculine and feminine. Structure and surrender.
Action and rest. Giving and receiving.

This was never meant to be a competition.
Power-over / Power-under is a false binary — a distortion of what happens when we forget that opposing energies are meant to dance, not dominate.

Reclaiming Wholeness

We can’t change the entire system overnight.
But we can begin with ourselves.

We can listen to our bodies —
which are constantly communicating what we need.

We can honor our tears, our boundaries, our rage, our rest —
as sacred expressions of our intuitive selves.

We can unlearn the lie that strength = silence
and begin to reclaim the truth that feeling is a form of knowing.

We can hold space for our masculine and feminine energies to coexist —
not in conflict, but in collaboration.

Start Here. Start Now.

Ask yourself:
What have I been taught to silence in myself?
Where have I internalized imbalance as identity?
What would it look like to reclaim the parts of me I was told to suppress?

Because this is where healing begins — not out there, but in here.
Not in systems alone, but in our cells.
In the ways we choose to live, feel, and show up every single day.

As Jiddu Krishnamurti said:

“It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.”

Let this be your reminder that feeling, resting, crying, receiving, and questioning are not weak — they are the first steps back to wholeness.

You were never meant to split yourself in half just to fit in. You were born to embody the fullness of who you are. And if you want more help along the way, women’s counseling might be a good option—reach out for support.
